To symbolize all the wealth that MPA wants to present and share, in 2018 will be honored Roberto Menescal, musician, author, producer, instrumentalist and one of the great icons of Brazilian music.
About Menescal, it worths to remember that he was also honored at the 2013 Latin Grammy for his contribution and artistic relevance in the field of music with the Award for Musical Excellence of the Latin Recording Academy. One of the creators of Bossa Nova, Menescal was elected by a judging committee of the Board of Directors of the Latin Academy, received the trophy in a special ceremony, restricted to only guests, on the eve of the ceremony of the Latin Grammy.
With a career of more than 50 years, he is the author of classics such as “O Barquinho”, “Você, Nós e o Mar” and “Rio”. The capixaba artist also participated in soundtracks of films such as Joana Francesa, Bye Bye Brasil and Sabor da Paixão, and has four biographical books published. At age 80, Menescal continues to perform around the world, in addition to acting as a music producer.
